As a premier Mural Festival and Arts Organisation, EIMF will curate and create thought-provoking and engaging public artworks throughout the city. Our mission is to elevate muralism and street art culture in Edinburgh and beyond, challenging and nurturing artists in their creative journeys.
EIMF will build a year-round programme of site-specific public artworks and murals within Edinburgh and surrounding areas. We will focus on the regeneration of local sites, positively impacting public art and engagement programmes. Our efforts will create employment opportunities within the festival and provide training for artists and communities in the variety of roles and skills required for the design, planning, and delivery of public art. We will ensure fair pay for artists and creative industries. EIMF will also create launch events connected with each site-specific work, workshops, and artist talks. This will not only generate business for local venues and supporting industries but also foster education and engagement within local communities.
